Rumor has it, Battlefield 1942 Concepts is conceptual work that leaked during the creation of the award winning Battlefield 1942 game. It's either that, or a mod developer that goes by the name of BumbleBee created it just for fun while awaiting Battlefield Heroes.

Battlefield 1942 Concepts features a complete retexture of Battlefield 1942 in a Cel-Shaded style. That includes custom textures, custom icons, custom effects, and even custom menus.
